Sefer Shemot: Archaeology
Nachliel Selavan presents an Archaeological Snapshot of Sefer Shemot.
This video is part of the Sefer Study series.
This is an analysis of the Archaeology of the Sefer by Mr. Nachliel Selavan.
Archaeology Snapshot is a discussion on the location, timeline, main characters and highlights from history and archaeology, for each Sefer in Tanach.
Sefer Shemot takes place in Egypt during the New Kingdom (1539-1075), and there are two main opinions as to when the Exodus takes place. Nachliel will try to present both opinions, and to offer a glimpse into the rich topic of Ancient Egyptian history, along the way.
The highlights for this episode include the Code of Law of Hamurabi, the Golden Calf, the construction and material of the Mishkan and King Tut’s treasures.
